The harmonious way:
sustainability, diversity and ecologically friendly

Creating houses that blend into the broader landscape; integration with the environment is key to Glenda’s vision.
Be it rural with outlook, urban, or set in a wilderness area, Glenda places high value on balancing the competing interests of the surrounds with the building. For example, she focuses on views and sun, creating pleasant and useful outdoor spaces, and blending outer areas and the building, and where possible, taking neighbors into consideration. Minimizing waste material is a priority. Nothing is thrown away, Glenda’s aim is to create something sustainable, harmonious, and soulful. She is involved in the planning and design process, working drawings and working with consultants. She ensures as little waste as possible with building materials. For example, she prefers to use radial sawn timber which is cut so that there is only 15 – 20% waste on the building site as opposed to 40%.
